ELG and I were in swailing heaven as we sat on the bow, legs dangling as we headed out to sea.
Caught by a few big waves we made our way back to the cockpit as das captain pulled out the genoa and switched the engine off.
The wind was perfect yesterday and RedSnapper just lapped it up. Heeled over and zipping along at a cool 7 knots for most of the day we tacked and gybed our way around, dodging racing boats and avoiding collisions!
I jest not, we nearly collided not our fault with a boat that was the give way one...the arrogance was unbelievable and some choice words were exchanged by all of us as they missed us by a whisper!
We dropped the pick in Cawsands for a late lunch and fuelled up, headed back out again for some more laps.
Halcyon days like this will be few and far between over the coming months so we wanted to make the most of it.
ELG did a cracking job at the helm and it was a bunch of tired but exhilarated sailors that landed back in port for a well deserved beer and take out fish and chips last night.
Perfect end to a perfect day of sailing.
Heading out in the sound
