Yep, Wave Warrior has passed her sea trials and survey and will be exchanging hands over the next week.
My father-in-law left sailing and built this motor boat from scratch (just the hull). It took him several yrs of hard labour, I remember when I first met das captain, he was a permanent feature at the boatyard slaving away.
The boat is a real piece of workmanship inside and out, everything perfect and crafted with love.
What it could never do though was replace his love of sailing which he still yearned for, hence the decision to sell and go back to what he loved best.
So das motor bot is sold and the search is on for a new bot, one that is sturdy and that my mother-in-law feels comfortable on, who has lost the confidence with full on heeled over sailing motion.
They love our bot for sail and also space so the search has been for a smaller Sadler to ours. There is a lot of junk about (no offence to Sadler sellers out there) but there is a cracking one up for sale so the boys are off later this week across the water to check it out.
I hope it fits the bill for everyone so they can start a new swailing chapter in their lives and get back to doing what they love as much as we do.
