30 Sleeps To Go

Well it was a very peaceful New Years Eve night for us in the Roffe household with only one of us up watching the London fireworks on Tv at midnight.

There was no Dawlish mayhem for us this year as our friends our on their sabbatical travelling around South East Asia for a few months. So after a hectic day at work and a quick whizz round to see Sil, E and the onside we headed home for some nibbles, beer, fizz and a night in front of the box!

In between the latest all things GoPro had arrived to go with das captains growing collection.....the remote control! This wee gizzmondo is pretty neat, although at present I am only allowed to view and not mess with! Das captain set it up and we were treated to the delight of seeing it in action.

What I am looking forward to although I am told that this will never happen is das captain strutting his stuff with my camera attached to his head and the other to his chest......at the same time. We'll see!

So that's another year that has whizzed by. A glorious March for swailing, a fab week in August, some great weekends but on memory the wettest and worst season for years.

The rain finally abated last night and the long range forecast is looking quite promising for some sails out over the next month. Can't wait, I have missed the freedom and relaxation that being out on the water gives us.

More importantly though we shall we getting away from this wretched rain and it's only 30 sleeps to go, yes 30 SLEEPS TO GO! Yes I am very very very excited, we are off to Malaysia after a two year hiatus to catch up with family and friends.

A cracking way to start 2013 and I just can't wait!
